The Linear Mounds National Historic Site is an archaeological attraction in southwestern Manitoba and is considered one of the area’s best surviving examples of aboriginal linear mounds.

The site, part of the Devils Lake-Sourisford Burial Complex of the northeastern plains, consists of two long linear earthen mounds with rounded earthen mounds at each end. The lines measure 198 m (649 ft) long and 152 m (498 ft) respectively and are approximately 6 m (19.5 ft) wide and 1 m (3.2 ft) tall.

While the circular mounds at each end enclose sub-surface burial chambers, the function of the linear mounds remains a mystery, as does the age of the lines. Most likely used for some ceremonial purpose by First Nation groups, the linear mounds are thought to date somewhere between 800 and 1400 AD and are located near Melita, Manitoba.
