Dauphin Historic Sites & Interpretive Centres
Built between 1897 and 1910 by Wasyl and Anna Negrych, this homestead serves as the only complete Ukrainian homestead still in existence in Canada. The property consists of a main house, bunkhouse, barn and granaries all made from materials found on the farm and complete with working peech (bake oven) and some original furnishings. Tours are available by appointment in the off-season and the site is open daily in July and August.
A unique site focused on maintaining Ukrainian culture and heritage, Selo Ukraina includes the Ukrainian Heritage Village museum, an amphitheatre, auditorium, memorial park and meeting facilities. The Village includes a church, farm buildings, pioneer homes, a prairie school, shoemaker's shop and a community hall. A full-service multi-purpose building is available for any type of function. Summer festivals include Countryfest, Canada's National Ukrainian Festival and Jesus Manifest.
