Grass River Canoe Route Suitable for families, the Grass River Canoe Route begins at the Cranberry Lakes and moves in a northeasterly direction towards its destination of the Nelson River. Along the way are remnants of trading posts that were the main source of supplies for settlers, glacial drift covers and limestone cliffs characterise the landscape and the northwest shore of Tramping Lake has 2,500 year-old native petrographs. The route follows alongside Highway 39 and 6, allowing for several drop-off and pick-up points. |
