Oak Point Music Festival & slo - Pitch Tournament

The Community of Oak Point's annual music festival and Slo-pitch tournament is one of four signature events for the R. M. of St. Laurent. With a rich background of Metis culture in the area the festival showcases some of the best musicians and entertainers in the province. Past festivals have showcased local acts such as Country Pride, Back 40, The Gaudry Boys, Cross Roads , Marc Morrisseau ,Darren Lavallee and tradition Metis dance groups the St. Ambroise youth Steppers that have performed internationally, The St. Laurent Little steppers, The Winnipeg Metis infinity dances to name a few.
The 2011 festival edition will continue to show case the talent of local performers as well as from across Manitoba.
The N. S. A. sanctioned Slo-pitch tournament was a huge hit last year and will return with 16 teams competing for cash and prizes.
