The Gimli Film Festival aims to bring in exciting Canadian and international films that a local audience would not regularly get to see in a small town. Feature films are shown on a 10.6 m (35 ft) screen on the beach along the shore of Lake Winnipeg, while short film and documentaries along with feature films are screened at the Lady of the Lake Theatre in the Waterfront Centre.
